For people enchanted by nature like me who live in Abuja and haven’t visited Almat farms, Gosh, you are definitely missing. I visited the place today, the 12th of January, 2023 and I was thrilled. The location is gorgeously nature enchanted. An exquisite blend of agriculture and hospitality.
Remember I talked about blessing in disguise a few days ago in my gratitude challenge, today happens to be one of those days too. My friends and I had planned a painting session in Almat farms, but unknown to me, there was a last-minute change of venue. The sister in charge had sent the information to me, but I didn’t see it, so I woke up today and just went straight to the farms. Getting there was when I realised the venue had been changed… oh mine oh mine, I can’t meet up with the new location even if I drove at 150km/hr (didn’t even go with my ride, went by a bolt). This Almat farm is too far (it’s located in the heart of Kuje) for me to come and leave immediately, so I decided to tour the place.
Oh mine, was I thrilled? I was so thrilled and enchanted I spent more than five hours in the place, touring and enjoying the meal. I feel rejuvenated and motivated. I missed the painting session, but I gained a tour of a beautiful farm.
Aside from the traditional huts that look like you are living in the 19th-century king's palace, the farm has a theatre with the look of the emir's palace that shows a movie every Friday night. It has a mini zoo with monkeys, tortoises, Chinese chickens, rabbits, different species of birds (I loved seeing the king of birds, the peacock ), crocodiles, Etc. The most appealing sight for me is the horse's stables. The horses looked so alluring. They had different horses, mainly from Argentina, and the little ponies are suitable for children's rides.

For a confirmed foodie like me, trust that I had to taste the food. They had two restaurants, one close to the hut and the other close to the pool. Both restaurants are well laid out and have different dishes on their menu. The food tasted lovely, and the chef wasn’t miserly in the food portion or core ingredients.
They have a bonfire every Saturday night, and I saw the campfire place. They allow outdoor camping and have a special area dedicated to that. They have different courts for basketball, volleyball, football, tennis etc. The place is also a beautiful place to hike. Other activities available are quad bike riding, board games, horse riding, snooker etc.
Oh I must not forget the Olympic standard pool and the pond for kayaking. Its polo course is massive, and greenhouses adorn the entrance to the farms. I invite you to see this beautiful place. You would be glad you did.
